Liupanshui, China, August 18, 2010 –Devastating Jarunee Sannok and Usa Tenpaksee stunned Kamoltip Kulna and Yupa Phokrongploy in the all-Thais showdown to reign supreme in the women's event of the 2010 AVC Beach Tour Liupanshui Open here on Wednesday.

A total of 13 women teams from host China, Thailand, Kazakhstan, Chinese Taipei, Malaysia, Hong Kong, and Australia participated in the tournament.

Sannok and Tenpaksee, top seed of the tournament and gold medalists at the Bali-hosted Asian Beach Games in Indonesia, used 35 minutes to crush Kamoltip and Yupa, the gold medal at the last year's Vientiane-hosted South East Asian (SEA) Games in Laos, 2-0 (21-17, 21-15), underlining their supremacy over the three day event.

The host sides failed to make their mark despite the fact that three teams participated the women's event. Only Wang Tingting and Zhao Lidu entered the top four, but in the playoff for the bronze medal, the Chinese duo was defeated by fourth seed Mashkova Tatyana and Tsimbalova Irina of Kazakhstan 2-0 (21-19, 21-19) in a very close match lasting 38 minutes, finishing only the fourth. The other two Chinese pairs placed a joint poor ninth.
