Lausanne, Switzerland, June 11, 2010 - The FIVB President Mr. Wei Jizhong kindly welcomed a delegation from the United Arab Emirates Volleyball Association, including the recently elected President Mr. Amer Ali, to the FIVB headquarters in Lausanne on Friday.

Other members of the United Arab Emirates Volleyball Association party were Secretary General Mr. Fahad Abdullrahman Almulla and Board member Mr. Naser Humaid.

Key subjects of the meeting were the establishment of an FIVB Beach Development Centre in Dubai, participation of the United Arab Emirates players in FIVB events, bidding to host a SWATCH FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour event in 2011 as well as the FIVB World Club Championships for men and women in 2013.
