Teheran, Iran, February 23, 2010 -- Mr. Thorsten Endres, sport events council member of FIVB, paid a two days'  visit to Iran from February 20-22 to inspect the facilities of Tehran and Orumieh in northwest of Iran who is applying to organize the 2011 Men's Junior World Championship.

Brazil is the other volunteer country to hold the aforementioned Championship.

During the visit Mr. Derakhshandeh, Secretary General of Iran volleyball Federation and SOC member of AVC and FIVB, accompanied representative of FIVB in the inspection.

When asked about the inspection visit, the FIVB delegate remarked "everything was good and acceptable as the FIVB regulations, I will deliver my report to the FIVB, but you have another rival such as Brazil."

He also said that entrusting the championship to IRAN will promote the sport of volleyball in this country and in the region.
