Tehran, Iran, February, 10, 2010 – The Refereeing Committee of Iran Volleyball Federation held a two days refreshing course for international, national referees and supervisors who are active in the Iranian men's Super League matches.
Iranian Super league is one of the best Volleyball Leagues in Asia. The PAYAKAN Club team, Champion of the Asian Club Championships, represented Asian to take part in the first FIVB World Club Championship, finishing a satisfactory fourth place.
Many foreign players are enthusiast to play in the Iranian Super League. 13 players from Bulgaria, Serbia, Kazakhstan, India and Pakistan are present in club teams. Most of them are national team players in their countries. These players are bringing high performances to the volleyball in Iran.
Mr. Davarzan, President of I.R.Iran Volleyball Federation, noted in his remarks for the course. "Now we are not in the same level of European leagues, but our league is trying hard to reach the rank of best leagues in the world."
"In order to realize the aim, the referees can play an important role", the president said, adding "Adjustment of conduct of referees and supervisors has an essential role in the behavior and performance of team players. You, as the referee, should take persuasive, disciplinary or penalty encounter in every match. You should get benefit from the facilities in good way to train the players for adopting the rules, since after the league some of these players will enter to the national teams."
Mr. Davarzan stressed that "The rules should be observed carefully and by this action you will come closer to the international standards. The technical facilities and standard elements of the halls in the cities should be upraised. By eliminating the shortages, standards rise and volleyball comes to high level. All of us are in need of upgrading ourselves and up-to-date our knowledge according the FIVB rebus and regulations."
"Applying the rules and regulation in unity form, we are to reach to the high level of world volleyball, "he concluded.
Mr. Hatami, chairman of the Refereeing committee, gave welcome speech to the participants, then he explained in detail the FIVB rules of Refereeing, Official volleyball Rules. Practical and theatrical Sessions were performed for the applicants.
Mr. Hadad, the director of super league organization, asked the Refereeing Committee to give the proper and precise training to all of the first, second referees, line judges and also to the responsible persons who are active in other duties during a match.
At the end of everyday there was a question and answer time. Responsible persons gave detailed answers to each question and group discussion was done upon every matter. |
