Beijing, China, July 10, 2009 – FIVB is holding a beach volleyball course in cooperation with Vanatu national Volleyball Federation in the tiny island of Vanatu with the population of 216,000 inhabitants, according to reports reaching here.
The course is held in accordance from the Volleyball Cooperation Programme. This years course is conducted by the FIVB instructor John Kessel from USA who will show how to maximize the sport from all sides.
During the 6 day stay Mr. Kessell will strive to maximize the potential in Beach Volleyball together with the National Federation which has been showing strong demand and interest in Beach Volleyball.
Last year athletes from Vanatu participated in the qualification rounds of the SWATCH – FIVB World Tour in Adeleide in Australia. The main problem for islands like Vanatu are the long distances to travel and a regular visits from the FIVB have in last few years shown that a progress has been made in Beach Volleyball |
