Lausanne, November 28,2008 --- A Volleyball Cooperation Programme Teachers course was recently held in Katmandu, the capital city of Nepal, nestling in the Himalayas at an altitude of 1400 metres.

27 keen participants followed the course from 6 to 11 November led by the instructor Mr. Hussein Imam Ali from Qatar.

The organization of the course was excellent due to the Nepal Volleyball Association's hard work. Their initiative in inviting important national authorities to the opening and closing ceremonies, helped spark major interest with the national TV company and media.

The guest of honour at the opening ceremony was Mr. Dhruba Bahadur Pradhan, President of the National Olympic Committee and the guest of honour at the closing ceremony was Mr. Gopal Shakya, Minister for Youth and Sports. The ceremony finished with a flourish with the Little Angels School Band who performed charming traditional songs and dances.
