San Juan, Puerto Rico, August 26, 2010 - El Coliseo Manuel "Flask" Arecibo Iguina will host the second and final qualifier for the 2011 FIVB World League as home side Puerto Rico prepare to take on this year's 15th placed team China for a spot at next year's tournament.

The two sides will face off on Saturday and Sunday at 8:00 pm local time.

"The Puerto Rican Volleyball Federation (FPV) is extremely excited to bring out the global event at the coliseum Manuel "Flask" Iguina Arecibo," said the President of the FPV, Mr. Nelson Perez Cruz. "For the first time we celebrate an international Volleyball event in this arena and the excitement you feel at Arecibo."

Puerto Rico, who are looking to overcome China to qualify for the World League for the first time, beat Portugal two weeks ago in the first leg, and they will be hoping they add to that this weekend.

China are ranked No.10 in the current FIVB world rankings, while Puerto Rico are No.17.

"Our athletes have had a successful summer winning their third medal in a row at the Central American and Caribbean Games in Mayagüez 2010 and then beat Portugal," Mr. Cruz added. "The enthusiasm is great and our people have been infected with it again so we expect public support on this date with history."
