Guangzhou, China, February 2 , 2010 – China's Evergrande Women's Volleyball club and the USA team played their friendly Volleyball Challenge match here tonight, with the former beating the visiting team in straight sets(25-23, 25-14, 25-19).

The host team is coached by Lang Ping, known by many as "Iron Hammer and the former head coach of the US national team who helped the Americans to win the Beijing Olympic Games silver medal while the head coach of the visiting team is Hugh McCutcheon, the former Olympic champions men's team. Team USA visiting China is a very young squad, almost complete different from the former national team, having little international experience.

However, Jenny Lang Ping's team came away with the victory, mainly relying on several Chinese veterans from the former national team, such as one of the world best setter Feng Kun, opposite Zhou Suhong and wing spiker Yang Hao.

Hugh McCutcheon said after the match: "Jenny's players have rich experience of international match with better skill. It is natural that Evergrande clinched the victory."

"We also learned a lot, my young players have witnessed what the world volleyball level is from the match and the big gap. We wish to come here again and play a better game," the American head coach added.

Team USA had played a practice match against Evergrande Volleyball ahead of today's match, also losing 3-1 (26-24, 25-23, 21-25, 26-24).
