 Lausanne, Switzerland, January 26, 2009 – Nine of the 10 host cities for the preliminary stages of the 2010 FIVB World Grand Prix have now been confirmed after Sao Paulo finalized conditions with the FIVB Events Department on Friday.
It now means the schedule is nearly complete, with just Chinese Taipei yet to confirm the host city for Pool D.
As preparations continue, the FIVB Events Department is expecting another exceptional edition of the premier annual Volleyball event for women.
"The 2010 edition of the FIVB World Grand Prix is well on the way to being one of the best editions ever," Ms. Gabrielle Van Zwieten, FIVB Sports Events Vice Director said. "The competition, as usual, will bring Volleyball to a worldwide audience covering a number of countries, letting local fans see their favourite teams up close."
"With Sao Paulo now confirmed, we're looking forward to agreeing terms with Chinese Taipei shortly. Once that is done we can begin to really look forward to August when the tournament begins."
