AVC Board of Administration to Hold Meeting in Indonesia

Beijing, China, June 2, 2006 – AVC Excecutive Committee and Board of Administration will hold its meetings on June 5- 6 in Denpasar Bali, Indonesia.

The meetings are to be held just after the FIVB Board of Administration had its three day sessions in Lausanne, which approved numerous proposals designed to develop Volleyball and Beach Volleyball globally. Furthermore, the FIVB Board also unanimously confirmed the candidature of incumbent President Dr Rubén Acosta for re-election for a further four years. The AVC B/A meeting will discuss the development and promotion of Volleyball and beach volleyball in AVC regions in accordance with FIVB programes and decisions. It is also expected that AVC will express its support to Dr. Ruben Acosta to be reelcted FIVB President for a further four years.

The AVC meeting will hear reports by AVC President, Major Decisions from FIVB E/C & B/A Meeting,Volleyball World Vision 2012, zonal activity reports, and reports by AVC various committees.

Besides, the AVC B/A meeting will also discuss in details the competition events next year and decide the hosting countries of these events.
