AVC COACHES COMMITTEE MEETING

AVC Coaches Committee Meeting held on December 14, 2004 in Beijing of China received reports from its chairman and members together with many proposals to AVC B/A meeting. The AVC Coaches Committee meeting was also held in accordance with FIVB regulations, and included in its agenda a full detailed report on the decision of 2004 FIVB Technical and Coaches Commission meeting held in September 2004 in Laussane of Switzerland.

Mr. Zhu Jiaming reported to the meeting that AVC B/A meting approved the Asian Technical Support Programme (ATSP) to be held in Western Zone in 2004. But only two National Federations applied for the programme, and the programme had to be postponed to 2005.

As for FIVB Instructors Refresher Course for 2005, Asian instructors refreshers course will be held in Thailand for 3-4 days. The coaches courses in Asia in 2005 will be held respectively in Thailand, Kuwait, Vanuatu, Bahrain, Iran and Afghanistan while the technical seminars for 2005 in Asia will be held in Kuwait, Thailand, India, Bahrain and UAE.

The AVC Coaches Committee also proposes to AVC B/A that for 2005, three or four NFs in Southeast Asia be included in the Technical Support Programme. The NFs may be Singapore, Laos, Cambodia and Malaysia.

Concerning ATSP, the meeting proposed two areas: 1. Syria and Oman in Western Zone and one NF from Central Zone. 2. AVC to contact three or four NFs in Southeast Zone.
