The Beach Volleyball Council of Asian Volleyball Confederation had its annual meeting in Beijing of China on December 14, 2004 and put forward a number of proposals concerning the development of Beach volleyball in Asia to AVC Board of Administration.

Mr. Wei Jizhong, AVC President, said in his welcome speech that the members of the council should work even more hard in order to have more Asian countries sending their players to FIVB World Tour, and also to have more Asian countries hosting the Asian Tour events.

The ABVC meeting also decided to encourage the Gulf countries and the hosting National Federations of the Asian Beach Volleyball Championship to Conduct two-day referee seminars respectively in 2005 and 2006 before the Asian Games.

As for the 2005 competition calendar, there may be eight Asian Tour events in total, which will be finalized after consult with National Federations who wish to organize these events.

The ABVC meeting made some proposals to AVC B/A after detailed and serious discussion.
